This exotic member of the Bromeliad family is a great addition to your collection! It’s happy to be left in the 4” pot for awhile, or you may plant it outside – weather tolerant from mid 20’sF -90’sF. These are large plants and have spiny foliage so be careful when unpacking your Dyckia.
The picture is similar to the one you will be receiving. Well packed in its pot, and well grown! The plant will produce deep red foliage if given bright sunlight for part of the day. Water thoroughly, and allow to dry between watering. If planted outdoors, do put it in well drained soil mixture to insure good growth. Plants can achieve a 2’ circumference, with tall spike of petite orange flowers to brighten the landscape.
